Help Shape Your Child's School Experience!
You know your child better than anyone, and that's exactly why we need to hear from you.
Every year, Newport-Mesa Unified updates the district's plan (also known as the LCAP) that guides how we spend our budget and which programs we prioritize for students. To get this right, we need more than numbers. We need your perspective. Your honest feedback helps us understand what's working at your child's school and where we can do better.
Based on your feedback from last year, we made the survey shorter and easier to understand.
Take the survey. It only takes 5 minutes. Open March 23 through April 3, 2026
What to expect:
- Quick checkbox questions to start.
- Please take the survey once for each child. This way, you can speak to your experiences at elementary, middle, and high school.
- Don't skip the end! The open-ended section at the end is the most valuable part. It's your chance to share specific ideas or concerns that a multiple-choice question just can't capture.
Why should you take this survey?
- Your input helps make sure parent voices shape real decisions at your child's school.
- The more families who participate, the better we can plan programs and resources that truly support NMUSD students.
- Your child’s school has a participation goal this year. Help them reach it!
You may review the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) documents on the LCAP webpage.
Please email us if you have questions or would like to provide additional input.
Save the date for our LCAP Community Forums - April 14 from 9-10 AM or 6-7 PM. Registration is required. Spanish interpretation will be provided. Russian interpretation is available upon request (please email us to request Russian interpretation).
Thank you for partnering with us to make our schools the best they can be.
